November 17, 2008 Congratulations to the following LFC players named to the 2008 Kentucky High School Athletic Association All State teams: First Team: Maddie Boone, Erin Gilliland, Katrina Ott, Stephanie Patterson, Chelsea Smith, Emma Brown, Phillip Mabika, and Patrick Roberts Second Team: Laura Hillenmeyer, Jenny Kirchner, Kayla Price, Ulalo Chirwa, Dylan Fouts, Alex Riggs, and Tony Schwab Honorable Mention: Ashley Cobane, Abby Kerbaugh, Kayla Steber, Teryn Wright, Sam Cage, Phillip Manga, Jordan Manley, Ryan Smith, Nate Spain, and Zach Whaley. October 29, 2008 The 14 Boys Premier have finished first in the Fall 2008 Premier division of KSSL. The team was also the champion of the October 11/12, 2008 LIT, scoring 18 goals for and 0 against. The 14's were champions yet again in the October 25/26, 2008 Ohio Elite Fall Finale with another shut-out weekend of 18 goals for and 0 against. Photo October 29, 2008 The LFC Premier U13 Boys, coached by David Rice, won the 2008 Fishers Halloween Classic Black division this past weekend.They recorded shutouts in all four games and won the championship in a shootout. This team also won the championship at the TNFC Fall Classic Gold division winning the final game in overtime. Congratulations boys on a great season. Photo October 17, 2008 The 97 Premier Boys have again captured the 2008 LIT championship with victories over teams from Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. With a balanced scoring attack they tallied 35 goals in four games while surrendering only 3. The boys are coached by Mike Donnelly and Tom Morgan and are 3-time Kentucky State champions and 6-time KSSL champions. Photo September 30, 2008 Our LFC U-10 Girls Classic Red triumphed in a nail biting shootout to win their Fall Ball division. In the finals, the Classic Red came from behind to tie the game in regulation, exchanged goals in overtime, and then made four penalty kicks to carry the day. Coach Ally Tucker was exceptionally proud of how the girls stepped up their play, won as a team, and did not destroy the hotel. In the tournament, seven players scored goals, two goalies made terrific saves, and numerous midfielders and defenders refused to quit even when exhausted. Photo September 30, 2008 Congratulations to the LFC U11 Girls Premier, coached by Julio Serrano, who advanced to the championship game in the Gold Division of the Fall Ball Tournament in Cincinnati this past weekend. The girls had a great weekend of soccer before falling in the championship game. Great effort girls – we are really proud of you. PHOTO September 29, 2008 The LFC U10 Premier Boys, coached by Graham Rowles, won the top Red division in the Adidas Cup of Champions Tournament the weekend of September 27-28. The team went undefeated, winning the championship game 6-1. Congratulations for an outstanding tournament and great team play! Photo September 26, 2008 The LexingtonFC U11 Classic boys, coached by Matt Schweder, won their division in the TNFC Fall Classic the weekend of September 20,21. The team went 4-0, scoring 19 goals and giving up 5, with two shutouts, and had 8 players score goals. The championship game was a 5-4 barnburner, with LFC winning on a golden goal header in the first OT! Congratulations for an outstanding tournament! The girls were undefeated in their preliminary games before falling in the championship. Great effort girls. Photo September 1, 2008 The LFC 14 Boys Premier, led by Coach Kincheloe, were in Dublin, Ohio Aug 30&31 and returned home the new Dublin Charity Cup Champions in the 14/15 green division--scoring 22 goals for and 1 against. August 27, 2008 The LFC 99 Classic Boys Team won three games and did not allow a goal the Bluegrass Cup ’08. The LFC boys beat the home team Bluegrass ’99 boys in the final to win their first hardware of the season. Great job LFC 99 Classic Boys! Congratulations to the following players and coach: Dillan Blue, Kevin Carlson, Cole Chalmers, Ryan Crump, Noel Dingle, Alec Dupont, Robert Goodman, Brian Sato, Nicholas Whitehouse, Kyle Workman, Kosuke Yonenaga and Coach Nathan Sells. Photo August 26, 2008 The U-11 Boys Classic, coached by Matt Schweder played in the Bluegrass Cup in Versailles on Aug. 22-24. They won the U-11 Boys Division beating Bluegrass SC 4-1 in the championship game. During the tournament they went 3 and 0, scoring 17 goals and giving up five (5), with one shutout. Eight different players scored goals during the tournament. If anyone still needs to order a complete uniform kit, please contact the LFC office at 219-1493 as soon as possible. Orders need to be placed before the end of June to ensure timely delivery. Have a safe and enjoyable summer. June 2, 2008 Lexington FC is proud to announce 5 more Kentucky State Championship teams! Our Under 15 Premier Girls, coached by Kris Zander and Under 15 Premier Boys team, coached by Brandon Bowman, won the Kentucky State Open Cup in Bowling Green over the weekend. They will represent Kentucky in the Region 2 championships in Rockford, Illinois June 20-25. The Under 12 Premier Girls, coached by Jim Tussey; the Under 11 Premier Boys, coached by Brian Duggan; and the Under 12 Premier Boys, coached by Mike Donnelly, won the Eurosport Kentucky Championships, also in Bowling Green. Our Under 13 and 14 Premier Girls teams were finalists in the Kentucky State Open Cup. Congratulations to all players, coaches, and fans of these teams on a job well done!
